Outreach Support Intern

Career Services is seeking applications from undergraduate students interested in providing administrative support to the Outreach Team within Career Services. The position will begin February 2019 and will extend to at least May 2020, with the intent to work until graduation. This position pays $12/hr (eligible for pay increases; this position is eligible for work study) and will work 1-3 hours a day, Monday-Friday with a maximum of 15 hours a week.

This position allows students to use their strengths and talents to provide administrative support for the campus-wide Outreach program. Additionally, this position has the opportunity for professional development in the following areas:

• Improve skills that professional employeers are seeking such as time management and professional communication 
• Enhance data analysis, administraive and Excel skills

QUALIFICATIONS:
• At least 2 years remaining on campus as an Undergraduate
• GPA of 2.8 or above
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel (additional training will be provided)
• Demonstrated experience of promptly responding to emails 
• Organizational and time management skills 
• Ability to communicate and collaborate on a team
• High degree of personal responsibility and self-motivation

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Check Career email daily (during the work week), respond promptly to requests 
• Coordinate scheduling and faciliatation of presentations
• Attending meetings (individual and team meetings)
• Support Outreach team and Career Ambassadors by using Excel/Handshake, assist with preparation for sessions by printing, organizing handouts and room set-up. 
• Attend and assist with events of the Outreach Team and Career Services
• Data entry for events, presentations, and outreach on campus
• Adapt to changing tasks and needs of office
• Demonstrate autonomy and be self-motivated
