Description
In the morning, PIIE interns will serve as support specialists. They are the link between our business office and their day camp location. S/he will be responsible for assisting parents and campers with check in, payment collection, registrations for future weeks, and other business office functions. They will serve as a liaison between Camp Directors and our corporate offices.
Afternoons will provide our PIIE interns with the opportunity to delve into a facet of choice in non-profit business. Opportunities exist for students to work on projects to provide experience in Finance, Human Resources, Fund Raising, Member Services, Corporate Sales, Youth Development, Health and Wellness Initiatives...
The goal is for students to have a meaningful experience and begin to build competencies in at least 4 different facets of our non profit, while having a huge amount of fun with our Day Camps!
Qualifications
• An interest in guided discovery of non-profit business
• Understanding of excel spreadsheets
• Sense of humor
• Experience with elementary age children or a desire to gain this
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Internal motivation to succeed!
