Data Analysis and Scientific Writing Intern

Host Organization:
Environment for the Americas

Description
Environment for the Americas (EFTA) has gathered considerable data on migratory shorebirds, foraging hummingbirds, and the impact of fire on birds. We're ready to explore these data and to prepare articles and papers for publication. This intern will use their statistical skills to analyze data, so that we can explore a variety of questions. Each analysis will be presented to the public through our various websites and will be used to begin preparation of research papers. Day-to-day tasks will include data review, analysis, literature review, and writing. There may be some opportunity to be in the field, depending on interest.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or Graduate student seeking a STEM related degree
• Experience working with data sets and data analytics
• Ability to work at computer
• Possess solid statistical analysis skills and have a good understanding of experimental design
