Description
Environment for the Americas (EFTA) has gathered considerable data on migratory shorebirds, foraging hummingbirds, and the impact of fire on birds. We're ready to explore these data and to prepare articles and papers for publication. The intern will assist with develop videos from existing footage, filming, and photographing our many projects, from research to education. The products of this work will be used in our social media communication as well as in the promotion of our work. Some travel will be required within the state, and if possible, outside the state. The intern will have the opportunity to visit national parks where they will film and photograph other interns at work. Day-to-day responsibilities may include, but are not limited to short pieces, such as testimonials, and longer pieces. Photographs will be used in our reports and other communication.

Video editing software capable
Communication Skills
Previous experience preferred
Secondary education in Videography is preferred, not required

The ideal candidate will be creative and enthusiastic about photographing and filming outdoors in a variety of conditions and in natural areas. It will be helpful if the successful candidate has not only at least two years of filming and photography experience, but also experience in the outdoors. Simple hiking will likely be required. We also seek someone with the ability to photograph and film not only people, but also birds and our other research projects.
