Feedback Gatherer and Outreach Specialist for the CC English online platform Intern

Description
In 2021 Intercambio is launching an exciting new online platform to connect English learners with volunteers 1-on-1 throughout the country. We expect to have thousands of participants. This important position will be responsible for reaching out to program participants, both students and teachers, to receive feedback and suggestions on how to improve the online platform and how we can provide additional opportunities to make the experience more positive. This position will also set up conversations with Intercambio students and teachers in Boulder County and will look for overlapping ideas/feedback that can benefit our local participants and people using our platform in other communities.

This position will also help with the recruitment of new participants. This may involve researching which communities have the biggest unmet demands for adult English classes or from potential volunteer teachers. We need to identify to the most effective ways to outreach to potential participants, improve social media presence, explore paid advertisement options, and grassroots possibilities. This position might also reach out to some of the many organizations nationwide that use Intercambio's English curriculum and are a part of our network.

Qualifications

Bilingual is preferred but not required.
Ability to work remotely.
Familiarity with basic spreadsheets or customer relation management databases.
Self starter. Confident in ability to set up phone calls or online meetings with participants.
Must be open to cultural differences.

The ideal candidate is someone who loves interacting with and learning from people from different cultures backgrounds, is good at listening, organized, and not scared to initiate conversations.
