Summer Events Coordinator (Kindness Ambassador)

NAMI -Summer Events Coordinator (Kindness Ambassador)

Host Organization:

NAMI Boulder County (National Alliance on Mental Illness) BOULDER LOCATION 

Description

This position will include a mix of different work experiences, including community outreach, some event planning, and administrative support. Daily tasks will vary from day to day and will include communicating and collaborating with the NAMI Boulder County staff, communicating with our community, and planning and promoting upcoming community activities. This position involves planning and participating in small community events planned to take place throughout the summer, ideally with one larger event to wrap up the season. This intern will have the ability to creatively develop and design engaging opportunities for these events. 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• This intern will have stellar interpersonal skills, be a clear communicator, be able to work independently as well as with a small team, and possess great writing skills. Creativity is welcome in this role! 

The ideal candidate has a heart for helping others and is able to work with compassion while engaging with our community. Our work at NAMI is focused on support, education, and advocacy concerning mental health and anyone impacted by mental health conditions. This candidate will embrace our mission and vision and share it in our local community. This role is perfect for someone who cares greatly about others and brings a spirit of fun to their work.
